Weldon Kempf, age 78 of Montello died Monday, February 27, 2017 at his residence. Weldon was born March 5, 1938 in Milwaukee the son of Walter and Mae (Augustine) Kempf. Following high school, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Following an honorable discharge, he attended UW-Whitewater and received his Bachelor's Degree in Education/English/Spanish. He went on to have a long career as a high school Spanish and English teacher, starting in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and retiring from Westfield High School in Westfield in 1998. Weldon's passions in life were getting the most out of each and every student he touched in his career and preserving the creatures of nature, from the birds he fed daily to the cats he nurtured and cared for. Weldon was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sister.
