William Anderson

William W. Anderson, age 68, of Montello passed away early Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama on June 14, 1941 and on November 22, 1969 he was united in marriage to the love of his life Maria Torres who preceded him in death on December 28, 2009. Together, they were married for over 40 years; raising their family and working in the Chicago area until retiring to Montello in 2000. William was a carpet layer for over 40 years and was a devoted family man. Upon coming to Montello he became a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and will always be remembered for his friendly smile and willingness to help anyone who needed it. Survivors include: one son, Anthony (Wendy) of Ripon, grandchildren: Mindy, Robert, Angel, and Deaven, and great-granddaughter, Jaelene. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. He will be greatly missed. William is preceded in death by: his wife, parents, one son, William and two infant daughters: Tara and Lisa. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 313 E. Montello St., Montello with Rev. Pete Zietlow officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the family.
