William Carlile

May 9, 1942 — February 20, 2016

William "Mike" Carlile, age 73 of Packwaukee died Saturday, February 20, 2016 as a result of an automobile accident. Mike was born in Scottsbluff, NE on May 9, 1942 to William James and Relda Elizabeth (Skidmore) Carlile. He served his country as a member of the United State Air Force during the Vietnam War. Mike came to Wisconsin and settled in the Packwaukee area in the 1980's. He was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in the Madison area and retired after many years of faithful service. Mike was a member of both the Montello Lions Club and American Legion Post #351.

Survivors include two sisters: Sandy Trzos of Littleton, CO and Ann (John) Klotz of Aurora, CO as well as five nieces and nephews: Suzanne, Sharon, Melissa, Lisa and Greg. He is also survived by many former co-workers and friends. Mike is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Frederick Trzos. A graveside prayer service for William "Mike" Carlile will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Montello City Cemetery. Clint Rudesill will lead the service and military honors provided by American Legion Post 351 of Montello will conclude the service. Crawford Funeral and Cremation Service of Montello and Oxford is assisting the family with arrangements. www.CrawfordFH.com
