Louise Hillmer

Louise Ella Hillmer , age 82 of Montello passed away Monday, December 13, 2021 at Silver Lake Manor in Wautoma.  Louise was born on November 22, 1939 at home in rural Waushara County to Clarence and Viola (Berry) Schwersenska.  She attended the Woodville Country School and graduated from Wautoma High School and married Kenneth Hillmer at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello on August 20, 1960.  Together they raised their three sons in the Town of Shields residing on the family farm; Kenny preceded Louise in death on July 26, 2021.

Louise was mom to a lot of people; always putting others' needs before her own.  She loved to cook, snowmobile, hunt and organize family gatherings.  Louise was an active member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello as part of the Ladies Aid.  She will be remembered as a loving, hard-working wife, mother and grandmother who would do anything for anyone.

Louise is survived by three sons:  LeRoy, Keith and Mark (Michele) all of Montello as well as six grandchildren: April (Ben), Kyle, Cassie, Brandon, Kendra and Trevor.  She is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Aria, brother, John (Sharon) Schwersenska, sister-in-law, Ardell Schwersenska as well as her very special friend, Barb Hoffman and other extended family members.

Louise is preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers: Kenneth and Gordon.

A funeral service for Louise Hillmer will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montello.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.  Pastor Pete Zietlow will preside and burial will follow the service at the Shields Cemetery.
