Robert Beahm

December 21, 1943 — January 3, 2021

Robert “Bob” Eugene Beahm , age 77 of Montello passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at UW Hospital in Madison.  Bob was born at home in the Town of Buffalo, Marquette County to Gordon and Evelyn (Steifner) Beahm on December 21, 1943.  He served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1966 until 1968.  Bob was united in marriage to Sandra Lashock on August 15, 1970 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello, together they were blessed with one son.

Bob worked in the steel industry in East Chicago, Indiana for 39 years.  Upon retiring, he and Sandy returned to Montello in 2003.  He was an avid hunter and proudly shared those experiences with the next generations of his family.  Bob and Sandy enjoyed traveling by motorhome with family. He was known as a social person and always looked forward to meeting up with his friends.  He orchestrated many family reunions and will be remembered for his love of Indy Car Racing.  He was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Montello.

Bob leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Sandy and son, Derrick (Michelle) of Hartford.  He is also survived by siblings: Richard (Donna), Barbara (Herb) Scharenberg, Russell and Virginia (Michael) Kallas and sisters-in-law: Shirlee Beahm, Joanne Zodrow and brother-in-law, Norman (Kathy) Lashock.  Bob is further survived by his special cousin, Mary Beahm and many other extended family members.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronald, brother-in-law, Harry “Buddy” Zodrow and special cousin, Roger Beahm.

Due to the current pandemic, Bob will be laid to rest with full military honors and private services at St. John the Baptist Catholic cemetery in Montello.  A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held when it is safe to gather.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob’s name are preferred to the American Lung Association.
