With profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving and devoted father Roman “Butch” G. Haack, age 82 of Montello. He passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison after a long battle with several health conditions. Roman was born in Milwaukee and married to Lois Haack in December of 1961.
Roman spent most of his life in the construction industry putting up fencing. After a severe injury he was forced to retire. He couldn’t just sit around and do nothing so he spent many years at Lake Arrowhead Campground doing whatever he could. Roman loved to laugh and joke around with people; he could make friends with just about anyone. He was always there if you needed anything.
Roman is survived by his sisters: Diane Fox and Carol Kohl. He also leaves behind his children: Phyllis, Robert, Roman, Pamela, Ronald, Paulette, Priscilla (Steve) and Penny as well as his beloved grandchildren: Amanda, Michael, Colleen, Roman Jr, Ashley, Nicholas, Aimee, Sabrina, Zachary, Kayla, Skylar, Remy, Brandon, Callen, Rylan, Jadyn, Mary Jane and his only great-grandchild, Ava. Roman is preceded in death by his wife, Lois, his daughter, Paula and son, Raymond. All of these people loved him and had their lives touched by him in some way.
He may be gone but he will never be forgotten.
